Finance and energy sector workers received highest salaries

The average February salary without taxes and contributions amounted to 706 euros in Montenegro. Employees in the financial sector received the highest income amounting to 1.156 euros, followed by the energy sector 1.090 euros, while people from the manufacturing industry received the lowest earnings – 571 euros, suggest the latest data of the Montenegrin Statistical Office. As for the municipalities, the lowest salaries were in Petnjica 579, Ulcinj 586 and Bijelo Polje 607 euros, while the highest in Tivat 869 and Podgorica 741 euros.

In only three municipalities, the February income was higher than the average – in Tivat (869 euros), Podgorica (741 euros) and Pljevlja (712 euros). In all other municipalities, the February salary was below 706 euros.
