Official data on the damages fires made this year is still unknown. Pobjeda daily writes that, unofficially, the damages are measured in millions of euros.
Although no facilities were damaged, fire swallowed hundreds of square kilometers of forests and vegetation in Tivat, Herceg Novi, Cetinje, Niksic and Podgorica.
In the north fires were of lesser intensity. The damages in the protected areas will be determined by a committee.
National Parks stated to Pobjeda daily that the damages are to be determined for each park specifically – Durmitor, Lovcen and Prokletije.
