Never after the Second World War has Europe been in such a deep crisis as the one caused by Putin’s open aggression against Ukraine and his recognition of two self-proclaimed Great Russian parastates on Ukrainian territory, Croatian analyst Davor Gjenero has told CdM.
Analyzing the situation, Gjenero says that although, in geopolitical terms, the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia is more important and changes regional relations to a greater extent than Russia’s “limited aggression” would change them, only in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, now it is about a clear denial of any right of Ukraine to independent statehood, because Vladimir Putin clearly said this through his statements that Russia created modern Ukraine and through his interpretations of the policy of “bad Lenin” and “wise Stalin”.
He adds that it is very important that in this sensitive situation, Montenegro and its elite behave exactly as President Milo Djukanovic and DPM Dritan Abazovic did.
