So far, the Government of Montenegro has concluded 38 agreements on concession for detailed geological exploration and exploitation of solid mineral raw materials, the Ministry of Economy told Dnevne Novine daily.
The Ministry also said that currently there are 20 companies dealing with the exploitation of mineral raw materials.
“Of this number, 4 companies produce coal, bauxite ore and lead &zink ore, while the other 16 companies deal with production of construction stone.”
The Ministry of Economy in the end of March published a public announcement for allocating agreements on concession for detailed geological researches and exploitation of mineral raw material – vulcanite in Bistrica, Berane. However, no bid has been submitted so far.
