Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and coalition partners will put under procedure five legislative solutions, said president of the Assembly Committee on the Reform of Electoral Legislation, Mr Branimir Gvozdenović.
He said that media laws and ethical codes would be in focus next year.
Members of Democrats didn’t attend yesterday’s session.
Mr Gvozdenović said that the Committee had produced some results and thanked everybody who had taken part in its activities.
“There was no political will and you know that”, said Mr Gvozdenović and added that it was important to “come to a some sort of product”.
DPS with coalition partners will put under regular procedure Proposal Law on the Selection of Councilors and MPs, material which will be basis for negotiations and partner communication with interested parties.
Mr Gvozdenović reminded that a two-third majority was necessary for the adoption of such solution.
They will also propose Laws on Electoral Roll and Territorial Organization, Proposal Law on Financing Political Subjects and Election Campaigns, as well as Proposal for the amendments to the Criminal Code.
SDP member, Mr Raško Konjević, said that the Committee had failed to establish any text law and pointed out that text proposed by parties or groups wouldn’t be obligatory for SDP.
DPS MP, Mr Predrag Sekulić, said that the Committee has established that some protection mechanisms concerning financing of political subjects should be added to the Criminal Code.
The proposal stipulates rigorous punishments for illegal financing of political subjects.
