Govt is blocking unlike-minded Twitter users

Montenegrin citizens are commenting and criticizing on Government’s tweets and claim to be blocked by the Government due to that.

The official Twitter account has seen the announcement today that says: “We have entered the New Year with the first democratic Government of Montenegro. The Government of all citizens!”

Many Twitter users felt annoyed by this message so they commented to disagree with the attitude that it is the first democratic Government, after which, according to what they have written, were blocked.

Some of the comments of the blocked Twitter users are:

“A shameful post. This is not the account of any party… or any individual… Stop contaminating this space!”

“O, my god… Is this real? ‘First democratic Government’ and ‘Government of all citizens’ which do blocking after it was said to them that their post was shameful and inappropriate for a Government of any state.”

“I was blocked by @VladaCG (Government of Montenegro) on Twitter. It is a Balkan communist-St. Sava approach of the new modern Government which takes into account the fact that those who give money for their salaries actually can think!”

“Block us too – we are not leprous @VladaCG”

“Dear @VladaCG, have you thought about stopping blocking the unlike-minded ones and critics? It is irrelevant if those are legit profiles, idle trolls, or some organized bots. These are Montenegrin citizens, therefore people you work for and you are accountable to. Don’t be like your predecessors.”
