CdM has unofficially learnt from journalist circles in Bratislava that the Slovak government recently offered to donate a certain amount of AstraZeneca vaccine to Montenegro, and that the Ministry of Health, with gratitude, did not accept it, explaining that there were enough of them.
Allegedly, according to CdM sources, the Ministry asked the Slovaks for a Russian vaccine, but they had to return the delivery to Moscow.
It is speculated that President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic was visiting Slovakia in those days, and that is why the Ministry of Health rejected the offer, so that the public would not get the impression that the donation was provided by the President.
The Ministry of Health has never fully clarified what was the real reason for refusing earlier donations.
Even then, the public speculated that these were political decisions.
