The highest reported gross salary in Montenegro in March 2026 amounted to €140,632, according to data from the Tax Administration of Montenegro, with seven salaries exceeding €100,000. The largest payments were recorded in the tourism, finance, and trade sectors, reports the public broadcaster RTCG.
The highest salary was paid in the hotel and accommodation sector, reaching €140,632 gross. It was followed by a salary of €134,847 in monetary intermediation and €134,428 in non-specialised retail trade, mainly involving food, beverages, and tobacco products.
Three additional salaries in the monetary intermediation sector ranked among the top ten, ranging from €103,000 to €133,000. High earnings were also reported in travel agencies and hospitality, while the tenth-highest salary, €77,028 gross, was recorded in non-specialised wholesale trade.
The Tax Administration emphasised that these were one-time salaries paid for March and not amounts continuously paid throughout 2026.
