Lazovic, Brajovic and Gvozdenovic met during the summit of the PR China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in Suzhou, China, with representatives of CRBC, with which the Government of Montenegro concluded a commercial contract for the design and construction of the first section of the Bar-Boljare highway.
“In addition to the aforementioned projects, Montenegrin delegation emphasized tourism and infrastructure as potential areas for cooperation, as well as construction of the second section of the highway”, said a statement from the government.
President of the CRBC, Gang Wen, thanked the Government of Montenegro, in particular the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs, for their support and assistance in the implementation of this very demanding project.
Lazovic said all capacities of Montenegrin administration are aimed to support the development of this project, adding that its successful execution will be the basis for further cooperation on other projects.
Lazovic and Gvozdenovic also met with representatives of the Chinese company Huawei – one of the leading Chinese companies in the field of advanced technologies.
General Manager of Huawei for the Balkan region, Wei Venjuan, and Director for Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cui Fenghua, emphasized the importance of cooperation with Montenegro and presented plans to improve cooperation in the future.
Lazovic emphasized the interest of Montenegro for a strategic partnership with Huawei and added that there is space for cooperation in numerous projects, especially projects that are production-oriented and implemented in partnership with the Government.
It was pointed out that there are important projects in the field of information technology which can be very interesting for cooperation in the future.
Representatives of Huawei presented Minister Lazovic with donation of ten scholarships for Montenegrin students.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System met in Suzhou with owners of Chinese company NicTech, which manufactures mobile scanners for border control. At a meeting with the vice-president of NicTech, Miao Xitiyan, and Director General, Xijuan Fu, it was agreed that the company organizes a training for employees in the Customs Administration of Montenegro, to use donated scanners and propose a model of improving the existing control system, so as to make border control more centralized.
The new system would involve simultaneous dual control – on the border and in the main control center.
