A hike to Rumija with weapons and Albanian flags

The President of the Municipality of Ulcinj Nazif Cungu was shooting from fire arms at a hike organised by supporters of so-called Natural Albania (Greater Albania) in Montenegro. The shooting took place at the top of the Rumija mountain, above Bar, on 21 May, Montenegro’s Independence Day, Dan writes.

At a photo of Cungu posted on Facebook, people in camouflage uniforms are Around him carrying Albanian flags.

Some of them wore t-shirts with borders of Natural Albania on them.

Cungu told Dan that the hike to Rumija was a traditional gathering at which, as he said, there were no elements of Greater Albania.

“It was a traditional competition in long jump, air rifle shooting, towing rope and throwing stones. My team was third in the towing rope. In air rifle singles I also won third place,” said Cungu.

Asked to comment on the fact that the event with lots of Albanian national insignia was organised exactly on 21 May, he said that he celebrated Montenegro Independence Day in the Gorica Villa ​​in Podgorica.

“I see showing Greater Albania symbols unacceptable. There were no such symbols at this gathering,” said Cungu.
