As Pobjeda reports, Sukovic asked for a reception in US Embassy in Podgorica a couple of days ago and he should have a conversation with the embassy representatives today.
What will Sukovic say to Americans will stay out of most public’s reach. However, reaching out to US Embassy is a proof that Sukovic wants international community to get involved more in solving his case.
Problem however is not what will Sukovic say to the Americans, key question is: why is Montenegrin prosecution ignoring the public interest and refusing to determine the truth in “case Sukovic”?
Officially, there is no investigation against Sukovic for endangering the security of the vice president of the Government Dusko Markovic, nor a diciplinary procedure in the police directorate. Investigation was initiated because of threatening and insulting comments that Sukovic left on web portal “Vijesti”, under the alias “Boss”, against Markovic, but also because of later public accusations he made in media against Veselin Veljovic and Dusko Markovic, that they are “members of Mojkovac criminal clan”. Newly appointed special prosecutor Milivoje Katnic recently questioned Sukovic about his alleged knowledge about cigarettes smuggling from Mojkovac tobacco factory. And everything stopped there for now. Sukovic’s statements are still in a “scouting phase”.
