SNP leader Vladimir Jokovic managed to persuade SNP representatives in Kolasin not to leave local government and give up on their request for mayor Zeljka Vuksanovic’s dismissal, Dnevne Novine learns.
He managed to do it after a three-hour meeting with his party’s members in Kolasin. They concluded that leaving local government wouldn’t do a lot of good for SNP, since the local elections in Kolasin have already been scheduled for this autumn.
However, the final decision is to be made by Kolasin SNP committee which is to hold a meeting either this weekend or on Monday.
Jokovic will attend the meeting.
He expects his party’s representatives in Kolasin to negotiate with the local SDP and reach a solution.
As a reminder, SNP spokeswoman Sladjana Kaludjerovic said a few days ago that the party hoped the awareness of the importance of working in the interest of all citizens should prevail.
“SNP has tried to work on solving actual issues all these years. The party will continue doing that,” she said.
If SNP left Kolasin local government, it could not continue governance in the city. The mayor Zeljka Vuksdanovic would not have majority in the assembly any longer.
