One of the leaders of Democratic Front, Milan Knezevic, who was sentenced to four months in prison over attacking a policeman during a protest in 2015, has voluntarily gone to serve his sentence in the Institute for the Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions (ZIKS) today.

“I have only one message. If somebody sees Milo Djukanovic, let him know that I will spend these four months searching for a bed suitable for him to stretch his legs right after the presidential election,” Knezevic said.

Knezevic is the first MP of the Montenegrin parliament who went to prison.

As a reminder, at yesterday’s Parliament sitting, DF MP Strahinja Bulajic said that the Front abandoned planned resistance measures, such as staying in the Parliament building, organising protests and other non-violent methods that were planned due to the announced departure of Knezevic in prison.
According to him, thus the political alliance contributes to the creation of a unique front for toppling the regime.
