The Democratic Front (DF) official, Milan Knežević, during the yesterday’s discussion with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) leader, Ranko Krivokapić, told that director and co-founder of ‘Vijesti’, Željko Ivanović, on 24 October 2016 called the DF and asked them to back Krivokapić as future Montenegro’s prime minister.

Knežević said: “I am very happy that citizens of Montenegro, i.e. those who are supporters of the DF, have seen who is Ranko Krivokapić – a man whom ‘Vijesti’ wanted to propose as the prime minister and we were supposed to back the idea. So, here’s whom the DF was supposed to support – Ranko Krivokapić – a designer of the discriminatory Constitution against the Serbs. Željko Ivanović had called me to propose him.”

And here’s what Krivokapić replied to Knežević’s statements: “Citizens are the ones who elect the prime minister, as well as the party winning the majority of votes, and that’s the fundamental principle of democracy, and no one’s going to manipulate with my name.”
