Kovačević: Danilovgrad will become an ideal place to live

In national and international investment public, Danilovgrad is known for its stimulating business environment for the development of business and it will commit to maintain that reputation. Local administration will continue to implement programs with the aim of creating better living conditions, said president of the Municipality of Danilovgrad, Ms Zorica Kovačević, in the ceremonial session on the occasion of celebrating the Municipality Day.

She said that our ancestors had pledged to preserve peace and freedom and celebrate the free 9 December.

“It is my honor to congratulate the residents of Danilovgrad on the 9 December, the Municipality Day and the Liberation Day. Our ancestors, members of heroic nation, fought for the honor and freedom and died fort the freedom of their homeland. Today, we are paying tribute to them, we are expressing our gratitude”, said Ms Kovačević.

Many projects in the domain of road and public utility infrastructure have been carried out, as well as in the domain of healthcare, education, culture and sport.

Ms Kovačević pointed out that reconstruction of the old Danilovgrad-Markovina-Čevo road neared completion. Reconstruction of the Slap Zeta has been finished, she adds.

“The most important project in our municipality – construction of the system for channeling and purifying waste waters –  worth around €5,2 million, is almost finished”, said Ms Kovačević.

Works on the construction of a residential building intended for the purposes of the Armed Forces of Montenegro are underway.

Ms Kovaćević added that Aroma retail store had been constricted and it employed around 50 people.

“Construction of the Voli hypermarket is underway. Plans are afoot for the second phase of the construction of gas station and a condo hotel”, said Ms Kovačević.

She stressed that Zeta hotel had got a new owner and that conceptual design was expected to be finished by the end of December.

Results that enhance citizens’ living standard are achieved through hard work and ration al approach to social and economic development, believes Ms Kovačević.

Special attention will be devoted to the most vulnerable categories.

Montenegro’s president, Mr Milo Đukanović, Prime Minister, Mr Duško Marković and president of Montenegro’s Parliament, Mr Ivan Brajović, sent congratulatory telegrams.

Before the ceremonial session began, Ms Zorica Kovačević was handed a charter for the merits in development.
