The leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Montenegro, Ranko Krivokapić, thanked senator John McCain and congressman Mike Turner for providing support to Montenegro in joining NATO Alliance. Krivokapić said Turner put in a great deal of effort in establishing the Montenegrin caucus in the U.S. Congress.
“I’d hereby like to remind you that the last EU strategies describe our small country as captured, but I’m sure that with your assistance, Montenegro will soon have a democracy of Euro-Atlantic type,” noted Krivokapić in his letter to Turner.
In a letter to senator McCain, Krivokapić expressed pleasure at numerous meetings they had, when McCain always stressed his strong support for Montenegro’s aspiration to become a NATO member state.
