Lipska cave: A challenging trip through the underground world

The first speleological site in Montenegro that is open for tourists, Lipska cave, can be found 5 kilometers away from the Royal Capital Cetinje. 30 thousand visitors came to this cave in the past two years.

Lipska cave was opened in 2015. It has 2.5 kilometers of paths and galleries, and is one of the most important tourist attractions in Montenegro.

Anadolija agency visited the cave. There are unique forms of cave decorations that leave no visitor indifferent.

Director of marketing in the tourist company Lipska pecina, Milena Raicevic, spoke to AA and said that the cave is open for visitors every day until October. After that it will open depending on the weather conditions.

Most of the visitors are foreigners, lead by tour guides.

“Njegos’s gallery is the most famous. It bears Njegos’s name because he was the first leader that lead a search of the cave”, Raicevic said.
