Novica Knezevic (39) from Savnik, who is suspected of threatening the special prosecutor Milivoje Katnić through Facebook, will remain in custody in the Spuz prison for up to 30 days, CdM has learned unofficially.
He was arrested on Tuesday in Budva. As the Police Directorate stated then, Knezevic was arrested on suspicion of threatening Katnic through Facebook because of the case against Democratic Front (DF) MPs Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic. The MPs have been suspected of being involved in attempted coup on election day 16 October 2016.
Knezevic threatened Katnić on 14 February.
“For someone this is St. Trifun’s Day, for someone this is St. Valentine’s Day, and for you special prosecutor Milivoje Katnic: I’m Nole Knezevic, a grandson of Veselin Veso Knezevic and Krsto Grdinic. I’d say that this is not my personal advert or boasting. I’m former Montenegrin interior ministry member, I’m 39, and I haven’t entered this country for five years. I’m not going to say that this is a warning, this is rather a promise that you’ll end up like ZORAN DJINDJIC, or perhaps like IVAN STAMBOLIC, if you continue with these arrest attempts. And you may detain me in order to tell you this personally,” reads Knezevic’s Facebook status.
