Mandic is persuading Medojevic against NATO

Most members of DF accepted the idea of the President of the Democratic People’s Party, Milan Knezevic, to constitute a broad anti-NATO coalition.

Trading parliamentary places

But everything has a price. According to information obtained by the daily, one of DF leaders, Andrija Mandic, offered to the President of PZP, Nebojsa Medojevic, two places in the top ten list of delegates, if his party agrees to change its program in the forthcoming elections.

At this point, the PzP did not give a definitive answer and is allegedly seeking to negotiate on another place among the top ten. Medojevic believes that, besides him and Branko Radulovic, the future composition of the Parliament of Montenegro must have room for his Vice President, Koca Pavlovic. On the other hand, the leader of the Movement is not sure whether this change of program would be accepted by party members and officials.

He is trying to build a new political loop and is offering to DF to ‘freeze’ PzP’s stance on Montenegrin membership in NATO. But his attempts to push for a referendum on NATO membership just isn’t strong enough for his anti-NATO colleagues in the Front.

On the other hand, it is clear that the Democratic Front is completely changing its concept by focusing on combating membership in NATO. This is because they believe that Milo Djukanovic and his Democratic Party of Socialists will base their election campaign precisely on the invitation and the membership of Montenegro in NATO.
