Markovic: DPS’s landslide victory – a response to political parasitism

Deputy leader of DPS and prime minister Dusko Markovic is satisfied with the impressive result of his party at yesterday’s local elections in Mojkovac, Petnjica, Tuzi and Cetinje.

In Mojkovac and Petnjica won by a landslide in Mojkovac and Petnjica.

“I am particularly pleased because of the DPS’s victory in Mojkovac, which is normal and expected. This is the best result of DPS since the introduction of the multi-party system. There was an impressive turnout of voters, which means that the citizens have recognised the direction in which Mojkovac and Montenegro should be developed. This is the best response to the political destruction and compromising the political system. This is a good response to the boycott and political parasitism in Montenegro,” Markovic said in Budapest, where he is attending the 6th Central Eastern European Countries and China (CEEC-China 16+1) Summit.

Unlike Mojkovac and Petnjica where everything is clear, DPS will have to seek coalition partners in Tuzi and Cetinje.

In Cetinje the partner will most probably be SD that won two seats.

“I think everything is clear. We intended to win by a landslide in Cetinje as well and we were close to it. I believe that the political campaign, aggression and political primitivism made a significant part of the voters stay home, but we have a coalition partner at the state level, and I believe that we will soon reach an agreement on the establishing government in Cetinje,” Markovic said.

CdM learns from the top of SD that the party will not have unrealistic demands in Cetinje.

“I do not believe there will be conditioning related to posts,” an SD source told CdM.
