Markovic in Petnjica: Full support to further municipality development

I support Petnjica residents’ plans to implement their vision of development that will make the entire Bihor region and the north more attractive, prime minister Dusko Markovic said during a visit to the municipality.

The president of the municipality Samir Agovic met the PM in the new municipal building which was officially opened on Friday.

Markovic presented the basic guidelines of state policy primarily successful Euro-Atlantic and European integration, adding that that progress made in this area made Montenegro more attractive for investments.

Speaking of priorities, the PM emphasised the need for security and economic stability as a precondition for achieving development goals. The PM also presented successful development projects implementation of which is ongoing, such as the Bar-Boljare highway, tourism resources and noted that interest of investors was virtually growing on a daily basis.

“Increased investor interest should be also used for Petnjica, but it is important to get inputs and show interest,” he said.

Markovic believes that further improvement of transport and overall infrastructure as a basis for development should be priorities in Petnjica.

Agovic emphasised local people’s support to government’s policy and presented the situation, challenges and development plans in the municipality.

He pointed out the need for further improvement of health care service in the municipality, opening a kindergarten and constructing local water supply system. Agovic expressed the hope that the executive authorities would help the municipality in tourism valorisation of local resources.
