The government promised to students of the medical school headquartered in Berane to pay the costs of their stay in Podgorica while they are on training courses. This was announced by Prime Minister Dusko Markovic today.
“The government has decided that the headquarters of the medical school will be in Berane and the steering committee of the University of Montenegro confirmed this. It is now a matter of the Faculty of Medicine to organize the lectures. The government will not deal with that issue. From the budget, through the Education Ministry, we will ensure that students have every kind of compensation, if they need transportation, accommodation – there is no dilemma. Others do not understand what the state interests are – we want to prevent leaving the north,” Markovic promised in Mojkovac.
The PM sees nothing unusual in the fact that he visited Mojkovac today, whereas the Deputy Prime Minister Milutin Simovic was in Cetinje – the cities where the next local elections are scheduled.
“And where should we be in your opinion?! Where PM, deputy PM and ministers should be – at the places where people live and where the investment needs to be launched and opportunities for new jobs created. That’s the job of the government. It’s not government’s job to sit in the cabinet. It may be nice for me today to hold meetings and not to be here for several hours. We are here to do something and agree on what to do to improve life. The other thing – I haven’t heard that the elections were called. President of the republic calls the elections,” Markovic said.
Markovic and defence minister Predrag Boskovic visited the Tara arms manufacturing company earlier today.
“Export of almost 100% of production means some reputation,” Markovic pointed out.

Markovic also visited the Vragodo-Vrioca-Zarski Katun road that that is being constructed.
“Improving road infrastructure is a precondition for development,” he said.
