Sukovic spoke to media shortly after he was released and he accused Markovic and former chief of police Veselin Veljovic that they organized his arrest and that they are the leaders of the so-called Mojkovac criminal clan, which is in business of smuggling cigarettes.
“What I’m interested in is the truth and I am dedicated to it. That is why I sent a letter to Chief prosecutor’s office and minister of internal affairs to determine the truth. I know, but it is possible that some parts of Montenegrin public don’t know. The truth can only be that there is or there isn’t a Mojkovac criminal clan, that there is smuggling of cigarettes in Mojkovac factory or there isn’t, that I am the leader of the Mojkovac clan or that I am not. Depending on their findings my further announcements will follow”, it was categorcally stated by Markovic.
Although the County prosecutor’s office is still deciding whether they have enough to start a process against Sukovic for the act of “endangering security”, for more than two months Markovic hasn’t been asked whether he perceived the messages on the Vijesti web portal as a threat.
“It is surprising that County prosecution is silent regarding the reporting of the threats, as it was stated by the police in a criminal statement. I want to remind them that by the government’s decision I was put in the circle of officials that are being protected, and every once in a while “sending flowers to my grave or wondering how I’m alive” (Sukovic’s comments on Vijesti web portal) type of comments do not worry the prosecution. Not for me and my name, but for the duty that I am fulfilling in the name of this country”, he said.
“So, if I am waiting for the prosecution to react in determining the truth, what can the other citizens expect. Anyway, I will not give up on my publicly stated opinion and either I will not be doing any public service anymore or the author of the lies, or I even dare to say a group of authors now, will be held responsible”, said Markovic.
