The highway section from Matesevo to Andrijevica will be about 23.5 kilometers long and will cost more than €550m, the Ministry of Capital Investments has told CdM.

The Ministry headed by Ervin Ibrahimovic has told CdM that support is expected from the European Commission when it comes to the allocation of grants for co-financing the construction of the Matesevo-Andrijevica section, which is given priority when it comes to continuation because it represents a logical construction and functional continuation of the current investment.

“The rest of the funds are intended to be provided through EBRD and EIB loans, and the state budget. The preliminary estimated value of the construction of this section, about 23.5 km long, is €552.5m. The goal is to create the preconditions to reach the border with Serbia as soon as possible, in order to enable unhindered flow and corridor development from the Port of Bar to Belgrade and further to Budapest and Bucharest. At this stage as well, the Ministry encourages all interested potential partners to express their interest and propose their conditions and modalities of cooperation, which, when the conditions are met, will be implemented in a transparent procedure and in accordance with binding regulations”, the Ministry of Interior has told CdM.
