Those in power have announced that they will adopt “new measures” to fight the coronavirus.
It is not difficult to see several problems here: logical and practical.
Firstly: the new measures are not new. Closure of café bars is not new, insistence on vaccination is not new, nor is another lockdown – which, of course, will not happen. All this has already been done, with more or less success.
Secondly, the New Year is coming soon, so if the new measures mean that the voters of the ruling party are not allowed to roam the café bars where the virus freely – because this is a new, liberated Montenegro – circulates the air, if they are forbidden to stay up all night with lots of alcohol and the worst music that can be produced by humans or animals, and freely scatter and distribute spit on each other’s faces (you know when it’s loud music, and it certainly is when celebrating New Year’s Eve, so a brother has something to say to his brother, and then he hugs his brother’s bald head, gets it closet to his own and then tell him everything he has in his ear, face to face, while the situation in which the virus spreads better than in laboratory conditions) – these voters could become nervous.
Because this government is here thanks to the votes of a broad coalition of people of very bizarre beliefs. Some think that vaccines will make them sterile, others that vaccines contain a Gates’s chip, while some believe that the Earth is flat, others that the world is ruled by Illuminati-Satanist-gays organized into a so-called “deep state”, some that the world is ruled by lizards, others think that there was no genocide in Srebrenica, some that there is a Vatican-Comintern-Jewish conspiracy against Serbs, and that part of that conspiracy is a “lie” about Srebrenica, others that the Vatican is implementing a secret agenda of weakening and destruction of Orthodoxy, some think that Muslims have a plan for the enslavement of Europe, others believe that the Chetniks were not the criminal arm of the criminal ideology… And a great deal of them, let’s not lie, think and believe all that.
When you take a look at the above ideas that would once be considered crazy, then you understand that the bearers of these ideas are also the bearers of political will, and that if someone intends to get the votes of these people, they must offer them a policy that incorporates these crazy ideas – then it becomes clear why the policy conducted by Zdravko’s government, even the health one, is populist, irresponsible and often bizarre.
Now… Do you think that any measures against Covid are in force in Montenegro? Some probably are, but no one abides by them – everyone does what and how they want.
Such will be the new government measures: decisions that no one intends to implement. If, by any chance, there is one that the government would like to implement – it will give up that implementation, as well as the decision, as soon as someone rebels and gathers on the street.
Like any other populist government, this Zdravko’s one has neither the will nor the interest to make difficult, unpopular and necessary decisions that are, among other things, for the good of those who rebel against them.
Now the church ones are going through what we Red ones have already gone through. As Zdravko praises and listens to the “people” and their anti-opinion, the Reds listened to the anti-opinion of the proletariat. After all, what are Zdravko’s people, if not the impoverished former proletariat with its descendants? The same people, the same wisdom.
Some, like Horkheimer, sharply attacked the cowardly intellectual fashion of glorifying the so-called wisdom of the proletariat, to which intellectuals adapted their thought. So the old Max put it this way: “An attitude which would exclude the possibility of the proletariat contradicting its true interests, and thus the interests of society as a whole, and which would be oriented to the opinions and moods of the masses and itself would fall into absolute dependence on the established order”.
Zdravko’s government is the power of the masses whose “opinions and moods” it satisfies. Therefore, you can expect only a mass of the newly infected when it comes to the decisions of the health authorities, which will follow the opinion of the masses.
