The CdM editorial office was addressed by several citizens who reported that for more than two months, there has been no Litaril medicine in Montenegrin pharmacies. This medicine prevents the growth of cancer cells, it is used in the therapy of one type of leukemia, as well as some types of cancer. Montefarm has confirmed to CdM that there is no Litaril, and that the supplier Farmont is solely responsible for the delay in delivery. The tender was called for in March, the contract was signed in May, but Montefarm has still been waiting for the delivery, the company claims. By the time this text was published Farmont did not respond to CdM’s question as to why the delivery of Litaril is delayed.
Montefarm stesses that the previous supplier, Glosarij, regularly provided Litalir caps. 500mg, but that in the last tender, the best offer was sent by Farmont and in accordance with it and the provisions of the Law on Public Procurement, it was selected as the most favourable supplier for the quantity requested.
Montefarm says that it is extremely dedicated to its work – to provide citizens with the necessary therapy on time, especially taking care of vulnerable groups and seriously ill patients.
