At today’s Parliament speaker’s collegium, the decision on forming a working group to deal with OSCE/ODIHR recommendations has been made. The group is tasked with analysing the application of electoral legislation and considering and suggesting the method of implementation of recommendations from the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission’s final report on 2016 general elections.
The working group, formed on the basis of Article 26 of the Parliament Rules of Procedure, will be chaired by Marta Scepanovic. Its members are Miodrag Vukovic, Predrag Sekulic, Zeljko Aprcovic, Jovanka Lalicic, Milos Nikolic, Danijel Zivkovic, Mico Orlandic and Genci Nimanbegu.
“The decision stipulates that the working group will use expert knowledge of the OSCE/ODIHR and other relevant international organizations, and if necessary, consult representatives of the State Election Commission, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the Personal Data Protection Agency, the Agency for Electronic Media, universities, NGO sector and other organisations and institutions that can contribute to its work,” Parliament states.
As it adds, the working group is open to representatives of the parliamentary opposition who have not determined their representatives in the group yet.
Yesterday, PM Dusko Markovic requested the OSCE to mediate in resolving the political crisis in Montenegro.
