Podgorica will probably get another memorial statue by the end of the year. The statue to Slovenian poet France Presern is planned to be erected in the Moskovska street. The members of the City Council are to decide on this issue at the session scheduled for 9 May.
Raising the monument was initiated by the Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Slovenia, Vojislav Kovac, who will finance the project.
“The memorial statue is to be set in the green area, the cadastral plot No 1325/2, KO Podgorica I. It will be made of natural and artificial stone and bronze, in the form of art cube (3.5m x 2.8m x 1.8m),” it is specified in the motion Podgorica councillor will vote on.
