European Parliament Speaker Roberta Metsola has canceled a pre-arranged meeting with Parliament Speaker of Montenegro Andrija Mandic, the Standard portal has reported. CdM contacted Mandic, his Cabinet and the European Parliament on this occasion, but for now there has been no response.
Mandic was supposed to travel to Brussels on a commercial flight via Vienna today at 3:00 p.m., in order to meet with Metsola tomorrow, but according to the Standard portal, there will be no meeting.
Allegedly, Metsola canceled the meeting due to the displeasure of a large number of European Parliamentarians, who believe that Andrija Mandic is not an EU partner, as well as due to the fact that Croatia, an EU member state, declared him persona non grata.
Mandic was supposed to meet with Metsola at 9 a.m. tomorrow during his official visit to the EU Parliament, which was arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by Ervin Ibrahimovic.
On the official website of the EU Parliament, it is still written that the meeting will be held tomorrow at 9 o’clock.
