The statement of Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatovic that no investor can threaten the state with arbitration could bring nothing good to Montenegro, economic analyst prof. Vasilije Kostic, PhD says. In his opinion, such moves are reckless and inadequate and could harm the economic development of Montenegro.
No investor can threaten the state of Montenegro with arbitration, Minister Milatovic said last night during the Vijesti TV’s Nacisto talk-show, while commenting on the possible arbitration announced by the Aman Resorts company due to the violation of the contract related to the Queen’s Beach.
Mr Milatovic also said that those beaches were leased to Aman and that the obligation of that company was to keep them tidy and clean, so that the only culprit of the lack of order is the company.
Analyst Kostic finds this Minister Milatovic’s statement, to put it mildly, reckless and inadequate.
Earlier during his visit to Greece, PM Zdravko Krivokapic said that in numerous talks with the most important businessmen in Greece, there was received a strong conviction that they were ready to help Montenegro in its investment project. It is not known which investors are in question, but it’s obvious that PM Krivokapic’s Government has so far not brought any new foreign investors to Montenegro.
