Montenegrin Government with Serbian World vision

Nataša Pešić

The Government is working, and the Government’s Work Programme is on a long-term hold, writes Ms Nataša Pešić, advisor to the President of Montenegro for cooperation with state bodies. Another month and the end of the Q1 of 2021 is approaching. A public call for all interested was announced. But the question is how the Government works and what the measurable effects of the Government work are, Ms Pešić wonders.

It is praiseworthy that the general public is invited to get involved in the creation of the Government’s Work Programme. And no one minds. However, it should be said that to date, those responsible in the Government, led by the Prime Minister, haven’t created preconditions for the Government to consider the Draft Programme at all, not to mention the Government’s proposed work programme, Ms Pešić says.

When it comes to the annual Government Work Programme, the starting points for its preparation are the medium-term work programme of the Government and economic policy measures for the current year, she stresses.

The Government’s medium-term work programme is not even announced.

I’m guessing why. The Liberation Government knows that its lifespan is limited, so it is not even trying to pass the programme. And to be honest, it has no vision, except for the “Serbian world”, Ms Pešić points out.
