The Montenegrin government has not imposed sanctions on Russia today. At today’s cabinet meeting, the Montenegrin Government did not adopt the proposed decision on the establishment of the coordination body for monitoring the introduction and application of international measures regarding the crisis in Ukraine, CdM has learned.
As CdM finds out, Interior Minister Sergej Sekulovic was against the formation of this body at the meeting, Minister of Public Administration Tamara Srzentic abstained, as well as Minister of Defense Olivera Injac.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratic was also against the formation of this body out of principle, as she stated, because that is how the Government hides behind the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dritan Abazovic, the current DMP and the prime minister-designate for the composition of the new government and URA leader has said that if the Prime Minister’s position and manner are maintained, the government will not make a decision on sanctions against Russia today.
