Montenegrin veterans’ basketball team won the 14th World Maxibasketball Championship in Montecatini, Italy.
Our basketball players aged 45 defeated Serbia’s team 70:62 in the finals.
Montenegrin veterans reached the cup finals without a lost game. Since the beginning of the championship, they beat the national teams of Hungary (46:104), Italy (81:79), Lithuania (100:99), Brazil (71:85) and the Czech Republic (62:73).
The Montenegrin team at the championship in Italy included Radoje Bozovic, Zoran Nisavic, Vladan Ivanovic, Igor Djaletic, Vojislav Kovac, Goran Boskovic, Nikola Bulatovic, Miomir M. Mugosa, Zoran Vujicic, Dragan Vukcevic, Predrag Doderovic, Milo Djukanovic, Gavrilo Pajovic and Zoran Marojevic. Maksim Gegovic was the coach.
