Montenegro adds 8 coronavirus deaths and 577 new cases

A further eight people have died of the coronavirus within the last 24 hours. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from the capital Podgorica (2), Ulcinj (2), Bijelo Polje (2), Budva (1) and Berane (1). In addition, another 577 new cases were recorded, while 247 patients recovered. There are currently 9.151 active cases, i.e. 1.453 infections per 100K people.

“Labs of the Public Health Institute and other public and private labs doing diagnostic tests for Covid-19 have pulled a total of 1.808 samples for PCR diagnosis and registered 577 new coronavirus cases,” the Institute stated.

Figures show there have now been 376 coronavirus-related deaths in MNE from early June, i.e. 385 since the pandemic started in March.
