Montenegro Airlines will either position itself favorably or go bankrupt

Montenegro Airlines, MA, should use the coronavirus crisis to position itself favorably, start the fleet renewal and take over a part of the market in the region. There are only two options – either it will transform itself or go bankrupt, a Croatian airline traffic expert, Mr Alen Šćuric.

He further elaborated his position: “It’s high time to take over the market. €155 million is a lot of money and can be used a good starting point.

This amount won’t cover just the debts but can be used for fleet renewal and if you do it well, like Air Baltic or Lot or Air Malta did, you might be flying not only from Montenegro but the regional market as well. Just like Lot, for example, opened a base in Estonia and Hungary, or like Air Baltic opened its bases in Lithuania and Estonia, MA can take over the market in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Macedonia. Now you should be smart and take measures to start with it a.s.a.p, along with the Airports of Montenegro and the state, Mr Šćuric was adamant.

This is the right moment, and a historic opportunity.

“You haven’t had this one, nor will you get it. Ever,” he emphasized.

In an interview for CdM, he said he expected the recovery of air market to happen on 2022, adding that people will be scared of traveling for some time due to the pandemic and lack of money. The number of passengers will be lower, according to Mr Šćuric.
