Montenegro sends large delegation to New York: 16 ‘excursionists’ costing over €47,000

The five-day trip of a sixteen-member delegation from the Government and Parliament of Montenegro to the 69th session of the United Nations (UN) Commission on the Status of Women in New York has cost citizens €47,642, according to the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights. The ministry, led by Fatmir Gjeka of the Democratic Party, confirmed the expenses to Vijesti.

The delegation, which stayed in New York from 8 to 13 March 2025, incurred €26,404 in accommodation costs, €10,040 in transportation expenses, and €11,198 for per diems.

Fatmir Gjeka attended the same event last year, accompanied by two representatives from the department he oversees.
