MPs are to declare themselves today, at the extraordinary session scheduled for 10am, on the opposition’s initiative to dismiss Parliament Speaker Aleksa Becic. The initiative was signed by 38 opposition MPs. The parties of the parliamentary majority, DF and SNP, announced that they would not support the proposal to dismiss Becic. Before the beginning of the Parliament session, URA will decide how to declare on Becic’s dismissal.
The Parliament of Montenegro, during the mandate of Becic, has not been a place of essential political dialogue, which is why it has failed to fulfill one of its basic functions and lead to the acceleration of Montenegro’s European path.
