The total number of the employed in Montenegro is €239.494, whereas every third employed person, that is, 77.801 of them work in the public sector, suggest the data of the Revenue and Customs Administration submitted to Dan daily.
The employed in the public sector, according to this state body, are those working in the government, ministries, administrations, agencies, institutions, local self-governments, local self-government bodies, government-owned or municipality-owned companies.
As for the private sector, the number of the employed is 162.972.
The total number of the employed in the government is 177, in the ministries – 6.640, 15.287 in state-owned companies, 798 in agencies, and 5.977 in local self-governments and their bodies.
A total of 7.453 people work in companies owned by local self-governments, the Revenue and Customs Administration adds.
