“The DPS – SDP coalition in Bar, which lasted 18 years, has been cancelled at the session of the Parliament of Montenegro when SDP voted against the government. Today we are witnesses that this coalition no longer exists in Bar. We will continue to implement what we have started and planned, and what we have laid out in the agreement is for the benefit of the entire Bar municipality”, said Mrs. Branka Nikezić, reports jedro.me.
Mr. Orlandić said today is a good day for the municipality because a period of political instability has ended. He said the emphasis in the next two years will not only be on public administration and public enterprises, but also on multicultural and multi-confessional aspects of Bar.
The fact that Positive Montenegro joined local authorities in Bar, says Novakovic, is a crucial moment for the city: you saw the local parliament was blocked, and strategic interests of the city could not be realized because of someone’s desire for political outsmarting. We are entering the government in order to jump-start the city, we will not distinguish between citizens.
Ličina pointed out that from his point of view, it is important for Bar that a minority nation’s party has joined the government.
Mayor of Bar, dr Zoran Srzentić, congratulated the signatories and said he expects the new political reality to enable the executive branch in Bar to perform even better, in the interest of all citizens.
