Even though the 2021 Budget Law was supposed to be applied as of today, it still hasn’t been passed in the parliament. According to the information of the CdM portal, the treasury has already been empty, and even if adopted soon, it’s likely that the budget revision must follow.
Government’s projections referring to revenues, envisaging the largest amount of funds based on an increase in excise taxes, the non-existent origin of property law and good tourism season were obviously not good.
Despite all the issues, the Government of Montenegro is interested only in carrying out a massive revanchism, which Minister Vesna Bratić confirmed yesterday in a scandalous statement in the parliament. And not only that. Beside revanchism and party-backed recruitment, the main topic of the ruling majority are relations in the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Fundamental Agreement, the election of top cleric, which they promote even on social media of certain state bodies.
