Not a single euro may be uncollected or hidden outside the state budget and it must be primary obligation of the Tax Administration (PU), said prime minister Dusko Markovic during the meeting with PU director Miomir M. Mugosa, the Customs Administration director Vladan Jokovic and the Inspection Administration director Bozidar Vuksanovic and their assistants. Montenegro’s tax debt is slightly higher than €500,000m.
The PM said that he met them to find operational solutions in order to define a new approach in the state administration units responsible for the revenue side of the budget.
“This new approach should include ensuring that those who work receive additional incentives to produce more,” PM said, adding that there should be no understanding for those who do not respect the regulations and tax discipline, but the state should demonstrate commitment, strength and unity of competent state authorities.
The officials also agreed that by the next meeting the administration units responsible for the revenue side of the budget should provide concrete proposals and solutions to indicate the administrative and regulatory barriers so that they are eliminated within the shortest possible period.
The meeting was also attended by deputy prime ministers, Zoran Pazin and Milutin Simovic, and the ministers of finance and economy, Darko Radunovic and Dragica Sekulic.
