The driver of the missing truck and an employee of the Revenue and Customs Administration were arrested last night on suspicion of having something to do with the disappearance of cigarettes worth almost €1m. On that occasion, Prime Minister in technical mandate Dritan Abazovic said that the stolen cigarettes had been found.
Yesterday afternoon, near Podgorica, the police found a truck full of cigarettes that disappeared yesterday on the way from the Zetatrans customs warehouse to Niksic, where the cargo was supposed to be destroyed.
In the middle of this year, it was announced that the Revenue and Customs Administration organized the burning of a large quantity of confiscated cigarettes in the Javorak private factory in Niksic before the commission appointed by Milosevic.
Everything was carried out without the knowledge of the Police Administration, which had witnessed the destruction of cigarettes in the previous period.
