Commenting on the ongoing boycott of the part of the opposition and their strong belief in extraordinary parliamentary elections, the speaker of the Montenegrin Parliament, Ivan Brajovic, estimates that turbulent political spring, announced by the opposition, is nothing but an idle threat.
In an interview carried for the weekend edition of Dnevne Novine, Brajovic stressed that only 18 MPs do not come to work but some of them would love to. “They’re well aware of inevitable political fading and that’s why they’re searching for a convenient excuse to return. For some of them, return to the parliament is not an option as they are to face questions by the ruling majority and their opposition colleagues as well,” says Brajovic.
Experienced people resistant to pressures and clumsy attempts are managing the most important institutions, and the forthcoming elections will be held in democratic atmosphere, according to Brajovic.
Montenegrin parliament speaker also emphasizes Montenegro will get the new president and he’s convinced he/she will be a person of integrity and considerable experience, as Montenegrin citizens deserve.
