Representatives of Democrats, SNP, URA, SDP and Demos will meet on Monday in SNP central office. The subject of the meeting of the so-called civil opposition will be to set the current political dynamics, it was said to Pobjeda daily from these parties.

URA vice president Nedjeljko Rudovic said he expected that the opposition subjects would reaffirm their request for new elections, “throwing the ball back to DPS, as EU and our international partners did”.

“After DPS leader and EU Delegation chief met, it was clear that Brussels is demanding dialogue and end to the crisis. DPS is in a blind street, simply”, Rudovic said.

DPS can no longer ignore the reasonable steps forward.

“In order for OSCE recommendations to be adopted and implemented, they need to ⅔ of MPs, which is impossible unless the opposition returns to the Parliament. On the other hand, the opposition demands that DPS agrees to early elections, and we will not back down”, Rudovic said.

According to him, DPS cannot find a reasonable explanation to not hold parliamentary elections along with the presidential and local ones next year.

“They simply have no reason to refuse our demand”, Rudovic said.

In the meantime, the opposition should use this period to write down clearly defined joint conditions for the elections.

Host to the meeting, leader of SNP Vladimir Jokic, said to Pobjeda daily that the subjects would be everything that concerns the current political situation in Montenegro, while the precise talking points would be set in the beginning of the meeting.

He said he expected that the participants would reach a high level of agreement again. In their last meeting, five leaders of the civil opposition agreed to continue boycott until their condition of scheduling early parliamentary elections is met.
