The Democratic Front, DF, is a holder of a policy of the unconstitutional parliamentary majority. So that’s the alternative which is being offered to Montenegro, the Vice President and MP of the Democratic Party of Socialists, DPS, Jevto Erakovic, said.

The news conference organized on the occasion of the Census Law, which, according to him, the unconstitutional parliamentary majority intends to adopt in the coming period, tackled the period two years ago when the parliamentary elections finished and when the negotiations over the government of Zdravko Krivokapic took place.
“It was the time of good acting, when the parties calling themselves civic and European-oriented justified their collaboration with the pro-Russian DF with higher goals, making false promises that they’d be the holders of that policy and would guarantee the European policy in Montenegro.”
Meanwhile, Mr Erakovic adds, their (the DPS’) claims have proved to be truth. “Over the last several months, they revealed their true colours. Now they don’t even try to defend the national interests and follow the European path,” Mr Erakovic states.
“Montenegro still has people who will defend its European path, the civic concept and the right to a decent life. Citizens won’t allow the realization of actions created in Belgrade and Moscow circles and they show it every week by gathering in mass protests.”
His party colleague and the DPS Vice President, Abaz Dizdarevic, said that it was obvious the unconstitutional parliamentary majority was a hostage of the DF policy and was forced to meet their agenda.
Instead of dealing with the current political crisis, that is, trying to reach political dialogue in order to select judges of the Constitutional Court, cutting short the mandate of the parliament and organizing early elections, the government, Mr Dizdarevic added, deals with the issues which divide society, such as the census.
