On a ceremonial session which was also attended by president of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic, capital projects that were realized in previous year were presented. Also, the mayor of Podgorica Slavoljub Stijepovic presented several winners with the award “19th of December”, the most important award that the city is giving.
“We managed to develop all parts of the city equally and to provide same condidtions for everyone both in the city and the rural areas. This will be our goal in the future too. In many parts of the city we built new modern roads, sidewalks and parking areas. We built new playgrounds, adapted several schools, fixed public lighting. Water and sewage systems were reconstructed and public green areas were arranged too”, said the mayor of Podgorica Slavoljub Stijepovic.
He also announced new projects for 2016.
“The most important project for Podgorica is construction of the plant for cleaning of wastewater, then construction of city theater, elderly home, construction of new kindergartens and schools, covering the city swimming pool and construction of new bicycle paths”, said the mayor of Podgorica.
Vujanovic congratulated the citizens of Podgorica, city parliament members, president of the city parliament and the mayor the Capital City’s holiday 19h of December.
He said that many serious and valuable investments can be seen in the insfrastructure of the Capital city and that conditions are improving for a better quality of life for citizens of Podgorica.
