No one was injured, since the hotel guests were evacuated on time.

Although fire fighters immediately came to the site and extinguished the fire, unfortunately nothing was saved.

“The fire broke out on one of the upper floors that were made of wooden materials. It quickly spread to other parts of the hotel. It was windy, which worsen the situation,” Abidin Music, the Civil Protection and Rescue Service commander told CdM.

He added that firefighters from Andrijevica and Berane helped the colleagues from Plav.

“There was a tournament in the hotel. Fortunately, there weren’t many people in the hotel at that moment,” an eyewitness told CdM.

About 120 children, members of football clubs, stayed in the hotel, but they were not in the facility when fire occurred.
