The fact that the former president of the Municipality of Berane Vuka Golubovic is the fourth mayor from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) who has been arrested for abuse of office means that state institutions do their job freely and without outside pressures, said DPS deputy president and prime minister, Dusko Markovic.
“The law does not recognise those who belong to one or the other party but only those who obey or don’t obey the law,” he told reporters after PM question time in the Parliament.
Asked what Golubovic’s arrest says about DPS, Markovic says:
“It says that DPS is a party which allows institutions to do their job independently,” he said.
