Podgorica will get new parking lots at several locations, says the Parking Service for Gradska TV, stressing that parking prices will not be changed. This city company notes that traffic jams have been reduced by expanding the capacity of parking zones and opening new ones in the city center.
The Podgorica Parking Service has around 6,900 parking lots, and that number will increase with the construction of underground garages and new parking areas in the wider city center, the acting Parking Service director, Alija Hamzic, has stated for Gradska TV.
He points out that the company has expanded the existing parking zones.
In order to reduce traffic jams, new parking lots are not enough, but citizens should contribute by using public transport more and private cars less, Hamzic concludes.
