Popovic didn’t want to comment on media speculation that he left national airline company a couple of times or to speak about names because of, as he said, respect for pilots and their contribution to the company.
„With respect to all the facts and pilots’ immeasurable contribution to the company, we don’t have the intention of arguing over media with those who speculate with names of respectable people, who distort the truth and facts and we will not allow to be drawn into this. Even less do we want to mention any names of the pilots that are being manipulated in questions that we receive from newspapers, primarily out of respect to what they had done and what they are still doing for MA”, said Popovic.
According to his words it is not respectable to speak about people who have been retired for quite some time now so this type of manipulation of the so-called well informed circles they will leave for “analysis” to those who are trying to use the pilots to deal with their own personal frustrations.
Let us remind you, in recent days there was an information in the media that a couple of pilots of MA left the company, and that the reason for this is that there were no pilots available on Saturday, which is why the flight for Belgrade was delayed.
From MA came an explanation that delay happened due to health issues of the pilot who was suppost to fly the plane from Podgorica to Belgrade. They denied then that four pilots quit their jobs and it was explained that a few pilots were on vacation, considering that they had a record season in number of flights and that they needed the rest.
